Miss Germantown

The Face of the Miss Germantown

When people see Miss Germantown, she must generate a positive reaction for the organization. All of the constituencies she serves must look at her as a woman who “is” Miss Germantown, and has the ideals of a Miss Tennessee. She must represent the best of contemporary women between the ages of 17 – 25 in her personal appearance as well as in her dress, mannerisms and her demeanor within. The youth of our community must find her as someone with whom they can relate. At the same time, she must present a professional image when called upon to meet with corporate sponsors, elected officials, and leaders in the For-Profit and Non-Profit communities. Her charisma and dynamic personality must come through in every encounter she has as Miss Germantown. She must be a woman who possesses that “it” factor that everyone recognizes, but finds hard to describe.

She is a role model who cares about her role and other women’s roles in society.  She is an attractive and poised woman with a confident and commanding presence.  She is talented and intelligent, and she is an independent and eloquent communicator.  Miss Germantown is a leader by virtue of her experiences and takes pride in her health and physical fitness.

The Voice of the Miss Germantown

As the voice of Miss Germantown, she must be able to promote and market the Miss Germantown Scholarship Pageant directly and indirectly. In order to accomplish these tasks she must be comfortable in her own skin, confident, perceived as “real,” “natural,” and “genuine,” true to whom she is as a person. She will need to be able to verbalize the goals and the vision of the Miss Tennessee Volunteer organization. Motivate people from every age range and socio-economic background to take action. One should walk away with a feeling of hope, empowerment, and that Miss Germantown has made a difference in their lives when they hear her speak.

Miss Germantown needs to be able to serve as a sincere, committed advocate for the issue she has chosen to address during her year of service. She must understand that the opportunities provided to her in relation to promoting her chosen platform.

She must also be able to serve as a sincere and committed advocate for other important causes supported by the Miss Germantown Scholarship Pageant.

Miss Germantown Teen & Iris Teen

Princess Program

The Miss Germantown Princess Mentoring Program is a non-competitive enrichment experience for young ladies ages 6-11. This program features a positive environment and a fun-filled and exciting week. If you choose to participate, your daughter will embark on a very up-lifting experience filled with new friendships and new opportunities. Each year we have a schedule of events planned for our princesses including an etiquette workshop, a dance production number and modeling instruction.
